That's the Ticket

You are a winner... just kidding this TICKET won me NOTHING! We are making cards with TICKETS over at the Order of the Opus Gluei for the next two weeks. Come and join us! You can interpret the challenge however you choose.
I am in my last semester of school and totally SWAMPED! Life got in the way of doing fun things... AGAIN.

Well, I hope you got some inspiration this week from me.

Have a great day, and God bless!

I love you cards for Preschool Parents

Last week we stamped our Parent's Day Out program kid's hands onto watercolor paper for a take home Valentine for our Valentine's party on Tuesday February 14, 2012. Each 2-4 year old selected their favorite colored stamp pad.
I then took a 3" x 12 " piece of coordinating paper to the hand stamp and scored it every 2 inches. I accordion folded the paper. I then die-cut some Quickutz letters on sticky backed paper and stuck the sentiment onto the folded paper. (It is easier to do this onto pre-folded paper so you don't fold your letters later!) I stamped the child's name, Love, and the year.
Here are some of the other handprints, there are 12 kids in all. I wrote the name by each handprint set so that I would know who the prints belonged to when I went to make the cards this weekend. I hope the parents enjoy these! I know I would if I got one!

Have a most wonderful day, and God bless!

This is what I am working on this week. This, and my identity kit for my portfolio class. I drew this in Illustrator. The dart, logo, and the dartboard. I am still adding some details. I thought I would post something though, just so you all know I am still alive. Hope you are doing well and having a most wonderful week!

More free hand cards

This gray lady is a watercolor that I added a couple of sentiment stickers to and attached to a card.
This girl I drew. I did a quick sketch and watercolored her in, then stamped the thinking of you sentiment from A Muse Studio stamps. I just won a package of those, and I LOVE them. They come in a DVD style case. Now I want to put all my clings in a similar storage solution. Very nice!
This girl is done in the same way. A sketch that is watercolor painted. Then stamps and stickers were added to embellish it. I then inked the sides for depth. I love painting and drawing. I was hoping to try and figure out a way to create art that is more shareable. This way no one has to feel obligated to hang one of my canvases. A card they can put in a drawer, or God forbid... toss in the garbage.

Hope you are having a wonderful evening. Enjoy your weekend!
I hand drew the girl on watercolor paper. I added a sticker with the fish. The floral dress is watercolor on rubber stamped images. I then fussy cut the girl out and attached her to the polka dotted background. The sentiment is a sticker.
This girl is hand drawn on Kraft paper. I used colored pencils and Copic markers to color the paper and the girl. I attached a flower with a brad and drew the stem. Then I attached it to some Mulberry paper, then a card. I feel I always want to rush my life's plan... like I know better. So I have the creative control sentiment... I then added the reminder to wait for it.

Have a great day, and God bless!

Shaped Card

I used the weekly inspiration from Split Coast Stampers. They had a tutorial for this shaped card over there. I add some hand drawn stitching and some die-cut flowers and stamp like images (patches). The LOVE sentiment was made from stickers from Basic Grey. The paper is Coredinations and a paper stack from Me and My Big Ideas. I made the card a little different the tutorial, and feel the possibilities are endless. I am going to try and incorporate MISS in place of the heart for OWH cards!

Hope you are having a BLESSED day!
