Don't Forget to Breathe
Acrylic on paper.
Sometimes I need to remind myself to take a breath,
sometimes I have to keep reminding myself.
It should just happen involuntarily, right?

Pencil on paper.
Bringing a simple line to a little more movement
and getting more dimention as I evolved.

Acrylic on paper.
The paint from the other page wasn't dry when I closed the sketch book.
I could touch this up and fix it, but....
I like the reminder that I am not always perfect
and can always be fixed!

We always wish it could be more this way than that.

Here is a bald man waiting for the doctor or a train maybe?
He picked up a discarded woman's magazine.
It looks like it could almost be his head.
He likes the articles, but would never admit it.

The DH watching the game.
I didn't do him justice!

I saw this quote and couldn't help but draw on its page
in my prompted quote sketchbook a Ziggy-esque
character. A very good thought, in my opinion.

I have 2 more sketches to do and 1 and a half days left.
I thought I wasn't going to make it... but I really am!
I have to make sure to get out and check out everyone else's creations as well.
Happy and Blessed day, everyone!

I got nothing else done today... but got to be creative.
I see lots of these long necked girls. I thought I would try one.
I think it is cute, but someone else's style.
It was very fun to try.
I put it in my art journal with reasons why I need to keep busy.

This is acrylic on paper.
I put the shading in for the face, and honestly,
I liked it like that. She looks a bit edgy
maybe more so without a true detailed face.

This is an older drawing in my journal, so I am not counting it toward my 29
but I thought I would share it anyway.
Pencil on paper with an acrylic painted background
Will I ever learn to laugh once again?

Moves like Jagger
Running out of days, lots of faces yet to make!
A little pointillism and a barrette.
At our house we call them bar-bars.

A Good Read
A good book on a Saturday afternoon.
Nothing could be better, right?
Maybe doing some arty / craftiness?

Completely made out of squares and rectangles... it's Block Head.
She is actually quite intelligent, thank you very much.
She was also quite fun to make. I felt like a kid playing with that early
computer art program on Windows called Paint.

I drew this with my Wacom Tablet and Pen
I added some halftone dot patterns and
reduced their opacity. Something
a little different.

8 of 29 ... 29 faces for September
Using a picture of Debbie Harry as a reference
I drew her in solid grays
I converted the solids to a scribble with a filter
Text was added
The lyrics to my favorite Blondie song

Computer generated Faces 5, 6, and 7
Here is me, very puzzled.
Occasionally I feel that no one could put me completely together.
Photoshop with a few layers.
No one can put her together again

A layer of grasses and a skull
lots of hidden layers and masks.
You cannot kill me,
I am already dead
Face 6 of 29
This is a sketch game I played with on Stumble Upon.
I need to find out the name of "game"
It was quite fun..
