SRM Calendar 2013 for a friend

For liking and sharing at SRM on Facebook and their blog I won the
2013 calendar sticker sheet set. This is my creation with those stickers.
I also used some New Year stickers from SRM. All the artwork is
mine, either original or study of another artist. The stamps are from Our Daily Bread.

February is a study of Matisse. I drew this with chalk

Birthday card tuck in example...

March is a watercolor.
The above photo is of my friend Lisa.
She is getting this calendar for Christmas.
It will be her 40th birthday this March.
I tucked in birthday cards for her and each of her family
members on their birth months.

Pencil Sketch

April is an Anime sort of sketch color with Copic Markers. Lisa, the receiver of this calendar has always wanted some of my artwork. She is very into Christianity too, so I tried to incorporate passages and hymns with the artwork.

June and July is a weird paper cutting project I did while in school. Every time an image overlapped the color had to change to show the outcome of the two colors mixed together. It had to look like transparent sheets were used even though it was opaque paper.

I drew this heron in Adobe Illustrator. I love this piece, it took 3 weeks to complete.

More Anime drawing. This is Lisa's Anniversary month.

Here is December with a simple finish. The cover to last year's Christmas stamps.

Purse Note Card Set

A lady at church asked me to make her a gift card set for a teacher friend of hers.
The woman's name is Kris and her initials are KS, so the lady who ordered the
cards wanted the name or initial somehow incorporated in the card set.

I made a little notecard to stick into the pocket for my the gifter to write a note for the giftee.

Here is the purse and one of the cards.

The 5 notecards and envelopes fit nicely into the purse.

I would definitely make more of these sets. They are sure to be a hit
with the teacher who is getting this gift!

Pinterest Inspired Punch-a-thon

I LOVE Pinterest. I could spend a day perusing the pins.
I saw a ton of punch art cards today and had to try some out.
I don't sell cards for profit (I send to OWH and did some for charity)
so if these were your originals... I am not taking your business away!
If you would like me to credit you, I will!

I did change these ideas up a bit to suit my products and papers.
These fish are made with circle punches and a long skinny heart shape.
I also used some pink google eyes; I wondered what I would ever do with them.

This is a garden gnome. I used the quickutz grass and mushroom dies.
I used a small circle for the face and a scalloped circle for the beard.
The rest of him is just basic triangles cut free hand.
The sun is bosskut.
The clouds are fussy cut and then popped for dimension.

This one is my idea. I needle felted the heart.
I attached it with some double sided tape
and added the quickutz Love and U.

M & M out of circles.
I free hand cut the hands, arms and legs.
I drew the face on and the m
The feet are a circle cut in half.

Pregnant shopper.
This was a really fun paper piecing project.
I used the Go Kreate Purse
Quickutz boots
Freehand pants.
Hat, hair, shirt sleeve, belly are all circles
Her arm is an oval punch with a small circle for the hand.

Butterfingers!
Operation. I used a variety of hand cut pieces and
quickutz dies. I did the tear the paper that is over
the sentiment technique again.

This is much prettier in person.
I used the sunflower die from quickutz.
I cut it out of white, inked the edges in chocolate brown
I then cut the flower into wedges like a pizza. Each petal
became a piece of the pine cone. The pieces lift off a bit
to really give the illusion of being real. I accented it with
some Stickles glitter.
I didn't have any ribbon, so I cut some red paper about 1/8"
thick. For the bow I used the long skinny heart die and a
little square.
The greenery is the inside of the holly die-cut.

Hope you enjoyed the Pinterest inspired punch art!

Blog Candy Alert from Stamp Smiles!!!

Lovey Dovey Cards....

I am still making my Valentine cards to send to OWH. They need to be in before the end of
December. Wild about you is a free hand drawn and cut monster. I then embossed him, added
eyes and a fussy cut mouth. The sentiment is Wild about you. The bottom part is an AMuse
stamp that I only inked the bottom of, then added the Wild with stickers and a heart diecut from a
Quickutz house. This card was inspired by a printed Valentine I saw on Pinterest.

The cupcake image is from Unity. I embossed the red paper with Swiss dots. The sticker is SRM.

The stamp is Unity. I used the paper flags from the My Mind's Eye paper pack
and then die-cut the letters. The flowers are from Prisma (I think that is where).

Here is the little Boo Bear from Go Kreate again, he is so cute.
The Hugs stamp is Unity. The paper is One the Bright Side
from My Mind's Eye.

Stampin' Up Truck and hearts, fussy cut clouds, hand drawn tree with a circle punch for the top.

A simple card with a Quickutz Love die-cut, some flowers from Creative Memories
and 3 of 1.75' square scraps. Add a brad and you have a simple, yet pleasing creation.

Unity here again. A little Copic love was added to the stamped image.

Quickuts scalloped heart and Love die, gross-grain ribbon from Stampin' Up
Easy peezy.....

AMuse stamps... repeated background... re-emphasized on white.

This card I used my We R Memory Keepers sewing tool and stitched blue floss over
and under the card stock. A little putzy, but not too bad. Definitely worth the time.

Here I stamped the sentiment on one sheet and tore the top layer to reveal it.
This stamp is also Unity.

Another fussy cut little girl. These are so fun to make!

A Multitude of (Heavenly Hosts)? No... more cards

The following fifteen cards use card blanks from My Mind's Eye.
They also use lily beed design paper (Handmade)
Other paper used is echo park paper For the Record by Bella Road,
some of the stickers used were from the same package with the paper.
Other stickers used were SRM Thinking of You set #51006
I also used quite a few Quickutz and Go Kreate die-cuts.

These cards will be for USA troops through Operation Write Home.
This is Boo Bear from Go Kreate.

The clouds are fussy cut and the grass is a velvet rub on from Martha Stewart.
The stamped sentiment is from AMuse
The stamped flowers and sentiment are AMuse Studio
I used a foam square to lift the wings off the page.
This sticker and the one below I think are K and Company (I am not sure).
I fussy cut the house and the bottom strip is some sticky cork from Quickutz.

Here is a fussy cut little girl. These are fun to make. I know the troops
like sending cards home to their kids, I hope they like these!
A suitcase home would be a welcome sight.
When I watch the surprise visits home videos, I always cry.

This card was copyscrapped from my first card I ever made
I took a class with a lady named Deb. She still is teaching classes
in the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin area. This
was when Quickutz first came out. Die-cuts sure have changed
through the years! That is for sure!

Well, I am off to make some more cards. I am also working on some needle felting, and a wool table decoration. I will post some pictures when those are done.

See you soon, and God bless!
