It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!!!

Rat Tails
The Order of the Opus Gluei has a Magical/Halloween Challenge
These are rat tails I made with goat hair and polymer clay. After baking I stained them to accentuate the details of the tails. They go in a jar marked DRY GOODS in my Halloween Witches Pantry.
And also for the Order
The bones of a thieving ex-husband's hand... I made this too, out of real bones??? No, my ex is still all in one piece. Believe it, or Not!
Merry Christmas
The sketch is what you see here, and an additional challenge, is to doodle or handwrite on your card. I doodled the stars, and the Christmassy greetings. The snowmen in the middle are Debbie Mumm.
I can See Clearly now, and a Red and Aqua Challenge.
This card is made on Vellum and was definitely something I haven't worked with before, so this is a first time try for me. I liked working with the vellum as a card, I have yet to work with Acetate for a card base yet either. I held the card to the light in the next photo, to give you a better idea of the inside layer. It is much more translucent in person than the photo shows!

  7. Those rat tails and that hand are wonderful. I love them. We started decorating today for the halloween party. I would love to have some of them for the decor. Hmmm. Something for next year. Or maybe a craft for the girls at the party. The snowman card is adorable. You are so versatile. Thanks for playing with us at Opus. Your prize will be in the mail tomorrow.

  11. Wow -- you are a master of the polymer clay! Those rat tails and bones look WAY too realistic (shiver!).

The snowman card is adorable and I love the see-through effect of the second card.

  13. OMG -talk about an entry that is all over the spectrum. Okay, I'm of the contingent that got a little freaked by the rats' tails but understand how you're using them and that is cool - but those would make me scream if I just saw one and no explanation. I'm a sissy, I admit it!

    Love the bones too!

Also, that Christmas card is great - I have to laugh; rat tails, bones, and Christmas cards. You're a very versatile lady!
