Playing in the craft room, good for the soul!

At 365 cards today, the challenge was ALL BOY.

I love making boy cards. I misted this card with some distress gel to make it look "dirty". The stickers are from Tim Holtz. The truck is Stampin' Up and the sentiment is Unity.

My mom's family made the trek from the western side of Montana to Illinois during the great depression. Each city they stopped at would pay my grandpa enough money to get to the next city. There were no jobs for him, and they didn't want anyone hanging around that needed a job.

At Word Art Wednesday Challenge #41
the challenge is to use the Mother Theresa quote to create something.

Here is my card. The paper is K&Company. The quote was computer generated using a simple "type on the path tool around a rectangle shape. I then layered paper behind and in front of the sentiment layer. The die-cut is Quickutz scalloped heart. I also edged the sentiment in gold edging.

Two challenges for this card.
Paper piecing at ABC Christmas P is for Piecing (I hope this qualifies as a paper pieced penguin).
And Christmas Challenges with sketches. I LOVE the sketch, what fun it was to work with!!!
The penguin is BossKut, the stamp is Hero Arts, the paper is a mix of K&Company and Graphic 45.

This card also is for two challenges.
Belli is Winged things
And Color Throw Down is to use the colors Lucky Limeade, Pumpkin Pie,
Pool Party, White, and Wisteria Wonder.
I used some more Quickutz dies and just drew and cut out the clouds free hand.

I hope you are having a wonderful and blessed day.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.

  4. Hi Kristen, You have made a beautiful Christmas card. Unfortunately it cannot be in our prizedraw, it doesn't have a stamped image on it. It is one of our rules at CCWS. Sorry. Hope you will make another one next time with a stamped image.

    Greetings...
